Hexalong giveaway and discount code! Hoorah!

Thanks for all the sweet feedback on my first-ever tutorial. I really appreciate it, and hope it inspires some stitching. Let me know if does :)  And please check out my guest post on Lily's Quilts!

Interested in trying out the Quilt Patis I demonstrated in the tutorial?

I am really excited to announce that Judy from Sew Sisters is sponsoring a giveaway of a pack of Quilt Patis -- so you can try them yourself!  To enter: leave a comment on this post, and tell me what you would like to make with either the 60 degree diamond patis or the hexagon Patis.  If you follow The Enchanted Bobbin (or start to -- in which case, welcome aboard!), let me know in a separate comment for a bonus entry.  The giveaway will close next Friday, August 5th.

I am also very excited to share a discount code for pre-cut paper pieces for participants in Lynne and Gayle's summer Hexalong.  Paper pieces are available in a HUGE range of shapes and sizes.  (Really! Check out paperpieces.com...you'll want to start making five different EPP projects right away. I have a variety of pieces on order for my 4" hexagons and am thinking I may need to make some apple cores, too....)

JoAnne and company are generously offering HALers a 25% discount on paper pieces!  Wow!  Thanks so much, Joanne.  The code is QUILT25 and it is valid through September 30.

I have been wanting to make a spiral 6 pronged Lone Star - the 60 degree diamond would be wonderful for that! VermontPines@aol.com

I think those 60 degree diamond patis have so much potential - so many combinations lone stars, tumbling blogs. I still marvel such a thing exists!

I'd like to say I'm going to make a quilt but in reality it'll probably be a cushion cover of diamonds!

Your tutorial came just in time! I've just started a hexie like that and I didnt have a clue how to do the corner at the point... Thank you! I do love the look of those plastic templates though, my paper cut ones are lookin shabby already!

So exciting, I would love to win these Quilt Patis! I'm a quilting beginner and this is something I haven't tried yet. I'd have to start off small with either a lap quilt or a pillow.

I'm torn between the hexies (cannot remember the size) to use for my GFG underway -- or diamonds to use when experiment with a border. Thanks for the chance. If win will make up my mind!

I have no idea what I'd make .. but your no baste method really appeals to me. I'd probably start with a pillow or table runner. Honestly, the shape would probably depend on what ever was in stock and/or on sale if I ever see these in person!

I just read your post at Lynne's blog. It was so good. I am intrigued by the hexagons with the diamonds inside but since I have never made any hexagons at all, I think I'd start small with a simple hexagon mug rug. I have a feeling those hexagons will want to multiply like proverbial rabbits and then I'd find myself making things much grander in size.

Betty said...

Hexing with hexagons, would do fine for me, please.
Pity I just bought my paper pieces, but I'll have a look over there anyway.
Thanks for this lovely giveaway

would love to have those diamond shapes as I have been drooling over those hexie stars I've been seeing around lately. I just haven't gotten motivated enough to start cutting paper. The one time I tried cutting diamonds they went all wonky on me and I wasted a lot of fabric.

I wanted to learn how to make hexies to make a panel for a bag so thank you for such a wonderful tutorial!
